Guide to Playing Camille Mid
Top lane Camille is quite good right now. She has few bad match-ups, and many good ones. Meanwhile, mid to late game she just steamrolls enemy teams. How about if we make her an early to mid to late game steamroller by putting her directly in the action mid?

How to Play Camille Mid
Camille Mid Runes Setup
Primary: Grasp of the Undying, Shield Bash, Bone Plating, Overgrowth
Secondary: Magical Footwear, Biscuit Delivery
How It Works
Abusive Against Melee Assassins
Camille's early game is very strong in all-ins and becomes very tanky later in the game. To put it simply, she's every melee assassin's worst nightmare. With champions like Zed in the current meta, Camille can bully freely early game and transitions well into a late-game hypercarry much like Irelia mid.
Strong Gank Support and Burst
A large number of walls and gank angles mid lane allows Camille to push quickly with Tiamat and either roam or gank her own lane. Meanwhile, she baits enemies very hard as a result of her massive range and is able to make jungle ganks very effective.
Avoids Counter Champions
Top lane generally contains a lot of Camille counters such as Darius or Mordekaiser who can shut her down . However, she's rarely picked as a mid laner and generally enemies won't be ready or set up to fight her. In lower divisions, players may also have low experience laning against Camille as mid-lane mains.
Powerful Roam Potential
Similar to Nocturne, her overall strategy will be to push and roam. While her range isn't as high as Nocturne, her ganks are more effective if she can get in range simply because she packs more crowd-control.
Potential Pitfalls
Low Poke Damage
In lane 1v1 Camille's poke damage is excellent if not great. However, once you get into the 5v5 team fight she doesn't have much in the way of poke and will need to rely on her all-in to be effective. Meanwhile, if your top lane is already split-pushing, your team needs strong wave clear in order to fend off the 3v5.

Needs to Trade
As a melee mid-laner, Camille needs to trade in order to win lane and pressure the enemy mid lane. However, if she's getting poked down before she procs her shield, she ends up losing the small poke fights and can begin to get zoned without jungle pressure.
Countering Camille Mid
Neeko tends to counter Camille throughout the entire game. Early game, she gets out-poked and mid to late game Neeko's ult hard-counters Camille's ultimate. Otherwise, picking up a mid/top laner that beats Camille like Kled also works.
Conclusions
Camille Mid is surprisingly quite strong and capable of snowballing. The playstyle is somewhat similar to Nocturne or Aatrox mid, but with increased range and crowd-control. Overall I would say it's a decent pick if your team isn't already full AD damage.
Suggested Tier: High Tier 2
