Instructions and Caveats:
God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.
Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.
Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.
Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.
Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

- This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

Champion Explanations
- Ahri [God Tier Mid] - Ahri's always been known as a jack of all trades and a master of none. It just so happens that she's actually good at everything. Her burst damage and safe playstyle make her a very consistent pick and players are finally starting to recognize these as traits key to winning solo queue.
- Kai'Sa [God Tier Bot Carry] - Ever sicne the latest Stormrazor buffs this patch, Kai'Sa is on a tear as people pick her up as an easy secondary when Vayne is banned. Her ability to snowball games is quite good, and her playstyle is comparable to Tristana with more mobility and more AP damage.
- Kayle [God Tier Top] - After the rework, nerfs, buffs, tweaks, and everything in between that Kayle received, she's landed at a spot where she's capable of helping the team early game and still transforms into a powerhouse later on. She can't just feed her face off early and 1v9 late, but if she does mediocre early to mid she's definitely still a hypercarry capable of dominating by herself.
- Kayn [Tier 1 Jungle] - Kayn's blue form change has breathed some new life into him. I can't say that his blue form is really better than his red form, but players are definitely starting to pick him up more in the current patch. If anything, it allows Kayn to be even stronger if he's snowballing.
- Miss Fortune [Tier 2 Bot Carry] - Miss Fortune is still one of the least played marksmen (women) in the game despite her powerful damage. The BoTRK nerfs hurt her a bit, but her laning power is still absolutely devastating, with press the attack. If you're looking for a main and tired of all the mainstream champions, give Miss Fortune a try. She's rarely picked or banned, which makes her a perfect champion to use.
- Morgana [God Tier Support] - Morgana's always been good, and she's even better in a hypercarry meta. With Vayne and Kai'Sa players doing their thing and going ham, Morgana is perfect for keeping them alive even when they're trying their hardest to die.
- Rek'Sai [God Tier Jungle] - In the jungle there are few champions that can keep up with Rek'Sai in terms of mobility, sustainability, and gank power. She's a complete package and even provides excellent crowd-control to boot. It's tough to find any faults in her current state, and she's nearly at a pick/ban level for a good reason.
- Riven [God Tier Top] - If there's a champion that top laners players complain about more than Riven, I've yet to find it. Players are more angry towards Riven players than both Singed and Teemo players combined. She's extraordinarily difficult to kill with 40% cooldown and Death's Dance, and literally runs your team over if you're not careful.
- Vayne [God Tier Bot Carry] - After the slight BoTRK nerf, Vayne continues to be everyone's favorite marksman. She's having some trouble with Kai'Sa nowadays, but at two items she still melts everything she touches.
- The purpose of this list is for discussion and to provide a starting point for champion selection.
