Early on in Patch 9.5 Kayle's win rate was pitiful, topping out at about 43% depending on which role you were looking at. It wasn't until players realized that she needed to stay SUPER safe until levels 11 and more importantly, level 16 before she could resemble anything of her former self....and more.

Let's check out the two power spikes:

Level 11

ARISEN - LEVEL 11: Kayle becomes a Ranged role ranged champion with Range icon 550 attack range. Additionally, Zealous's bonus attack speed is increased to 10% bonus attack speed per stack, for a maximum of 50% bonus attack speed.

This is the level where Kayle plays largely like old Kayle, granting her the ability to actually abuse melee champions.

Level 16 

TRANSCENDENT - LEVEL 16: Zealous is set to maximum stacks. Additionally, Aflame's fiery waves now deal Hybrid penetration true damage.

It doesn't take a genius to know this is some absurd buff to her kit. At a constant 50% attack speed and 15% movespeed, she basically walks around melting people for free.

Is it worth it?

Most players don't seem to think Kayle is worth it, as games don't tend to drag on all the way to level 16 except at lower divisions. However, it looks like Asia thinks otherwise, where games can drag out as players work conservatively to farm up gold advantages until late game.

In fact, this seems to work SO well that Kayle was actually hotfixed on the Garena server in Taiwan to the following:

• Base attack speed nerf to 0.667
• W movement speed scaling nerfed to 7% per 100 AP.
• E's passive scaling nerfed to 0.15AP.

It seems like there's a bit of mixed bag when it comes to Kayle, with some players saying level 16 (while strong), isn't all its cracked up to be and others saying it's a game-defining time bomb where the enemy team has to win before Kayle hits that level or hit certain defeat.
