Riot's definitely not making my job easy with all these meta shifts! The latest one to hit the Rift entails bruisers bot lane with high prevelance. I personally think (and hope) this is just a fad that will blow over soon, but you can't overlook how viable champions like Yasuo and Irelia are when they're paired with a support.

Meanwhile, with champions like Graves and Taliyah in the jungle, your team still has a good balance of ranged to poke and siege towers.

Instructions and Caveats:

• This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.

Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.

Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.

Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.

Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

Champion Explanations

• Graves [God Tier Jungle] - Graves in the current meta is incredibly good. He started off stellar as a result of his buffs, got a bump via the rift herald changes, and now the bruiser meta is in full force. This means everyone's playing right into his strongest point, melee range bruisers against his brutal close-range kit.
• Irelia [Tier 1 Hypercarry Bot] - When it comes to melee hypercarries that can annihilate marksmen from start to finish, Irelia is as overwhelming as it gets. Her abilities are only further amplified when she's being boosted by her support, and all-in-all it's not much of a surprise she's a bruiser of choice when it comes to bot lane...along with the rest of the map.
• Leblanc [God Tier Mid] - Leblanc is still a top favorite of mid-laners everywhere with her devastating snowballing abilities and great outplay potential.
• Lee Sin [God Tier Jungle] - The buffs to Lee Sin (complimentary buffs to go with his new skins) definitely brought him up quite a bit in power. His early game scuttle crab control isn't quite as good as someone like Graves or Xin Zhao, but his mobility around the map has always been something jungle mains enjoy the most.
• Lucian [God Tier Hypercarry Bot] - There's a reason the adage is ban Lucian pick a bruiser bot lane. Lucian is an insanely strong champion against bruisers via his quick dashes slippery constitution. In metas where long-range champions like Caitlyn or Ashe are popular, Lucian doesn't do too well. However, when it comes to dominating melee champions, Lucian does what Lucian does best.
• Mordekaiser [Tier 1 Hypercarry Bot] - Mordekaiser bot used to be a thing even before bruisers were in the meta bot lane. His ability to snowball lanes with a support like Blitzcrank or Leona gives him extremely strong presence in the lane and in the game. If you can get an early dragon after he hits level 6, it's pretty much a guaranteed first turret. Synergize it with a quick Rift Herald take and the game is all but won.
• Morgana [God Tier Support] - In the age of hypercarries and nerfed shield supports, Morgana still reigns supreme.
• Pyke [God Tier Support] - Although players might not see Pyke as "overpowered" right now, the potential is certainly there...either that or everyone's trolling. With the highest playrate in the game, either support mains actually think he's good or they're all on strike after the Riot shield nerfs.
• Yasuo [Tier 1 Hypercarry Bot] - While Irelia's laning power is dominant, Yasuo still provides a level of cheese that few champions in the game have been able to match thus far. At lower tiers, he can pick up free kills level 2 and possibly even level 1 from unsuspecting ranged newbies who think he's just another guy with a sword fighting a gun.
