Instructions and Caveats:

• This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.

Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.

Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.

Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.

Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

Champion Explanations

• Ezreal [God Tier Marksman] - Don't be fooled by his average looking win rates, he's the most popular marksman and naturally, there are a ton of people picking him up and for good reason. His ability to cruise through games safely gives him tremendous scaling potential with Kleptomancy and allows him to become the six-item terror of a marksman he was always meant to be. Meanwhile, his double tear build deals an insane amount of damage when fully stacked. This makes his poke more like continuous burst. 
• Graves [God Tier Jungle] - Even in the "new" jungle, Graves continues to dominate with his high damage early game and relatively safe clears as long as he kites properly.
• Janna [Tier 1 Support] - Janna in her current form is "nerfed". As a result, a lot of players are drifting more towards aggressive play-making supports with higher early game kill potential. However, she's by no means bad right now. If she's not getting banned in your games and you enjoy playing her, feel free to continue doing so.
• Kai'Sa [God Tier Marksman] - After a patch for the Kai'Sa nerfs to soak in, she's still continuing to climb back to the top as one of the premier hyper-carries. She deals an insane amount of burst damage, and in a solo queue environment can quickly snowball out of control.
• Kha'Zix [God Tier Jungle] - Similar to Graves, as an old favorite with tremendous single target damage, Kha'Zix performs extremely well when it comes to taking down scuttle crabs.
• Morgana [God Tier Support] - Morgana's rise to fame comes largely on the back of pro play. The amount of crowd control in today's meta (cough Rakan) makes it so that her Black shield is exceedingly valuable when it comes to keeping carries alive and carrying.
• Rakan [God Tier Support] - Rakan is arguably the strongest play-making support right now and offers the least counterplay when it comes to ult + flash + W'ing. Most supports have a bit more of a delay before they can excute their full combo, but with Rakan mains getting cleaner and cleaner, there's basically no time to react before your entire team is floating in the air dancing merrily to their deaths.
• Vladimir [God Tier Mid] - In a meta largely dominated by assassins mid, Vladimir continues to do quite well. His early game gives him the ability to punish melee assassins, and his mid to late game is squirrely enough for him to dodge the brunt of any burst damage aimed at him via a cheeky Sanguine Pool.
