League Voice has been a long time coming. Almost every online game has a built-in voice chat of some sort, and League was one of the last hold-outs. However, that all changed in Patch 8.6. Now, we can finally hear the voices that are calling us trash (and yes, it's currently only for your party members).
Introduction
League Voice has been a long time coming. Almost every online game has a built-in voice chat of some sort, and League was one of the last hold-outs. However, that all changed in Patch 8.6. Now, we can finally hear the voices that are calling us trash (and yes, it's currently only for your party members).
First Thing's First
If this is your first time using League Voice, the FIRST thing you want to do is open up your settings, go to VOICE, and then tick off "Mute me when I connect to League Voice". This will prevent any awkward moments where you forget you're connected to voice chat.
Next Up
The League Voice system is pretty seamless, and the sound quality is easily comparable to any other 3rd party software you're using. This means if half of you are using Discord and half are using League Voice, both teams will think you're talking to yourself half the time. Get everyone on one side or the other or it's gonna get weird.
Meanwhile, it might be useful with strangers in ranked, and honestly, it's no different than the majority of other team games, especially FPS ones.
Thoughts on League Voice
Personally, I don't know if in its current form it's really something we needed (since most people were on Discord if they're friends).Meanwhile, it might be useful with strangers in ranked, and honestly, it's no different than the majority of other team games, especially FPS ones.
