Top Team Comps #90: Massive Mixed Damage Comp

Here's a team comp that performs really well in terms of shuffling threats between the front and the back line. They have multiple forms of engagement that can synergize well off one another, and really just depends on who gets into the best position.

Even if one member of the team gets initiated on by the enemy team, the rest of the team has plenty of damage to turn the tides in their favor.

Here's a team comp that performs really well in terms of shuffling threats between the front and the back line. They have multiple forms of engagement that can synergize well off one another, and really just depends on who gets into the best position.

Champions

Twitch[Marksman] - As the strongest AOE burst damage marksman in the game from a theoretical cap, Twitch's ability to melt entire teams in a few shots is legendary. Once the enemy team picks a target that's not Twitch, feel free to Spray and Pray them out of existence. If they turn off of the enemy team to go on you instead, hopefully your team can finish them off after your initial opener.

Orianna[Mid] - Orianna's great in this team composition. She can initiate off of Alistar/Illaoi or simply start the fight herself to group enemies together for her team's AOE. She also presents a huge amount of magic damage, making it very difficult for the enemy team to itemize against the massive Illaoi + Twitch outputs without leaving themselves vulnerable.

Alistar [Support] - Generally, most players are running a more peel oriented meta for their hyper-carries. However, Alistar works great in this composition as a dive buddy for Illaoi and as a ball-carrier for Orianna. Luckily, Twitch's invisibility gives him plenty of room to setup in a good location away from the action but still in the fray.

Evelynn [Jungler] - It's rare that Evelynn fits into a team composition seamlessly due to her very solo kill type nature. However, she works especially well in this composition as a high damage AP with invisibility. Her invisibility allows her to stay hidden with Twitch, potentially baiting the enemy into going into a full engage on Alistar since they can't see half the team even with wards up.

Illaoi [Top Laner] - Illaoi in this composition makes top lane unignorable. If the enemy team happens to be running a heavy amount of melee champions, the game is all but won. Meanwhile, having her around means Twitch isn't the only one who can one shot the enemy team with AD damage, making it difficult for them to stack magic resist and focus Twitch.

Key Concepts

• Try and collect the enemy team in one place, allowing for greater effect for your crowd-control and other AOE spells. Funneling them in a straight line also works well as a result of your strong front-line and Twitch's ultimate.

Countering

Countering this team mostly involves disrupting their overall strategy and staying ahead through the early game.

Here is an example team that may succeed:

• Zoe [Mid] - Strong poke and long range engage allows her to potentially pick off enemy champions before they can ramp up to full AOE power.
• Lee Sin [Jungle] - Chase Evelynn through the jungle and make sure she doesn't snowball.
• Heimerdinger [Top] - The ultimate Illaoi counter, keep the pressure and pull Evelynn to you. Instead of dying to her when she ganks, kill her instead. xd
• Janna [Support] - If the enemy team has a nice tight grouping, ruin their formation. Keeping Illaoi out of her own ultimate will minimize the damage she can deal. 
• Vayne [Marksman] - If they can't find you, they can't kill you. Her tank killing powers will come in handy against Alistar as well.

Overall, this enemy team composition is much more of a skill-based mish-mash, but can certainly still do very well if the players on the champions are good at them.
