Instructions and Caveats:

• This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.

Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.

Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.

Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.

Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

Champion Explanations

• Ahri [Tier 1 Mid] - Ahri's in this weird spot right now where she's certainly still playable and there are plenty of Ahri mains floating. Despite that, there are lots of people who don't like her and say she's in a weak spot due to her lower than normal burst damage in teamfights. Her ability to catch opponents and kill them 1v1 is still incredibly good though, making her a favorite in solo queue.
• Bard [Tier 2 Support] - Bard's come a long way ever since his release as whimsical, but ineffective champion. Nowadays, he's known as a playmaker with immense potential, but with a higher than normal skill needed to play him.
• Ezreal [Tier 1 Jungle] - The latest meta craze these days happens to be Ezreal jungle, ranking in as the 5th most played jungler in the game and a close secondary role for the explorer himself. It's definitely a skill-based jungler considering all his spells are skillshots, but his ranged red buff ganks are definitely very effective.
• Fiora [God Tier Top] - Fiora's rise back to popularity comes with a simple revert on the move speed on her ultimate. Now, she's able to get just a little closer in range and has more opportunity to proc her ultimate for that sweet heal and damage.
• Kayn [God Tier Jungle] - Not much to say about Kayn except "omg he just walked through a wall and one shot me"...
• Miss Fortune [Tier 3 Marksman] - Miss Fortune's a marksman that I see as being incredibly underrated in solo queue right now, and most players avoid playing her as a result of her relatively low mobility. However, she's incredibly easy to play and I think she should certainly be played more considering how strong lethality is right now.
• Soraka [Tier 1 Support] - Soraka's starting to borderline Janna when it comes to being annoying, and her rising ban rate shows how the permabanned status of Janna is feeding into how often we see this unicorn as well. Be sure to build an executioner's early unless you enjoy having a rough time.
• Xayah [God Tier Marksman] - Xayah's popularity on the rift is fueled by the number of professionals who enjoy playing her as a split-push champ with the ability to outplay assassins. Her ultimate is incredibly potent if used correctly, and many players have difficulty positioning to avoid her feathery onslaught.
