Instructions and Caveats:

• This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.

Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.

Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.

Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.

Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

Champion Explanations

• Camille [God Tier Top] - Despite Camille's nerfs last patch, she remains a hotly contested pick/ban in solo queue. Although her early and mid game are not as faceroll as they were before, her overloaded utility kit allows her to dominate late game and/or if she happens to get some early kills.
• Fiddlesticks [Tier 3 Mid] - Surprisingly, Fiddlesticks remains a potential mid-lane pick for a lot of people, especially against champions that lack crowd control. His ability to snowball games via multi-man ultimates is still well received, even though his jungle potential is greatly limited because of his clear power right now (RIP raptor camp clears).
• Fiora [Tier 1 Top] - Fiora in the current meta is hotly contested, but in solo queue players still prefer Jayce and Riven for their low cooldowns and satisfying combos.
• Graves [God Tier Jungle] - Graves with lethality is currently one of the most popular junglers on the rift. Although he's not unkillable like Death's Dance + Phantom Dancer Graves, his ability to one shot enemy marksmen leaves no room for counterplay.
• Jayce [God Tier Top] - There's nothing quite as satisfying as smashing your enemy laner with six spells when they only have a measly three to contest with. His lane dominance keeps him as a top tier pick across high divisions.
• Katarina [God Tier Mid] - Even with the lethality changes and Katarina nerfs over the last few patches, she remains insanely powerful and highly respected as a result of her massive damage potential and outrageous snowball ability after just a few kills.
• Malzahar [God Tier Support] - Malzahar continues to be pick/banned in the LCS, so it's really no surprise that he continues to be a pick/banned in solo queue as well.
• Rengar [God Tier Jungle] - Surprisingly, the removal of the crowd control immunity really didn't hit Rengar that hard, and players continue to spam him for his insane snowball ability.
• Ryze [Tier 1 Mid] - Always prime your spells with your E...then you can look like a professional level Ryze (kinda). Then he'll be that Tier 1 material you always dreamed of.
• Zed [God Tier Mid] - Zed's comeback into the highest echelons of the FOTM Tier List was inevitable, but launched mostly by Edge of Night adding some highly needed survivability to his all-ins without sacrificing his damage.
