Many people have heard the story of how Saintvicious dropped from down into the equivalent Bronze 5 back in Season 1, and the resulting hilarity that followed.
A lot of people also know that this is where the term "lucker dog" was coined from, generally accredited from Saintvicious. But is he really the one that coined the term? Introduction
There's a lot of controversy over if it's "lucker dog" or "sucker dog" and many people remember both. Let's go through the video proof.
Sucker Dog - The Origin Story
After a particularly salty exchange and multiple Jax kills, "Leandrok" of the NA server appears to call some people in the game "sucker dogs" for the first time (video link) to which Saintvicious reads out loud on stream and says "what the hell does that mean?"
Saintvicious Starts Using The Term
Shortly after, he plays another game with/against many of the same players (since the population at that division was fairly low) and in this video clip he can clearly be heard saying "no sucker dogs no!"
Bincio Uses the Phrase "Luckers"
In the same game, NA player "Bincio" soon uses a then popular term, "luckers", to which saintvicious responds on stream, "that's my favorite insult at low Elo"
Sucker Dogs Evolves to "Lucker Dog"
Later on in the same video, he uses the phrase "lucker dog" in replacement for "sucker dog", immortalizing it forever in history.
Saintvicious Grows to Love the Phrase
Other Instance of Lucker Dog Bits
Conclusions
As you can see from the chain above, Saintvicious can indeed, be credited with the phrase "lucker dog", but it does stem from the original phrase "sucker dog".
Additionally, for those that are unaware, "dog" is a phrase that overseas in many countries, is roughly equivalent to the North American phrase for a female dog.
