Introduction
Everyone knows how passionate League of Legends players can get, and we're especially prone to outbursts in times of great happiness or stress. That being said, some events make us particularly happy, whereas others make us spectacularly upset. Sometimes, they're even the same event!
Let's check out a few of those extremes below:
1. Blocking Caitlyn's Ultimate
Nowadays, it's almost expected that a nearby teammate with enough health will block a Caitlyn's ultimate on you if it's going to be lethal damage. Sometimes allies go above and beyond expectations, and sometimes they fall a little short.
Love You: Alistar headbutt + Flash to save an ally
Hate You: Flash behind a teammate and kill them to save yourself
2. Split Pushing
Sometimes, when your team is down but not out, a quick one-two inhibitors via split pushing can easily mean the difference between victory and defeat. Or, it could mean a quick 1v5 base race.
Love You: Clutch Master Yi nexus backdoor for the win
Hate You: Watch your team die to Sion + Twisted Fate + Nocturne combo and ask them not to over extend
3. Attempting Baron
Baron, the most sought after objective on the rift, besides kills, farming, dragons, towers, inhibitors, and the nexus (sadly in that order).
Love You: 2-man Baron sneak play at spawn
Hate You: 2-man Baron sneak play at spawn that results in enemy team with Baron buff and a double kill. Whose idea was this anyway?!
4. Janna Monsoon
Janna's ultimate can often make or break a teamfight, Sometimes it ends up spectacularly well, where other times you might just afk after seeing a particularly awful one.
Love You: Knock back a Shyvana ultimate, Diana ultimate, and Leona Zenith Blade off a squishy...all at the same time
Hate You: Toss an enemy Wukong mid-cyclone into your ADC
5. Tahm Kench Devour
Possibly the ultimate trollish skill introduced by Riot yet, believe it or not, it's definitely possible to pull in some sweet honor using his Devour on allies and not just reports.
Love You: Devour an ally while you're getting chased by certain death and spit him over a wall. I'll never forget you Tahmmy boy.
Hate You: Devour a low HP ally about to escape back in to fight the good fight. Be Brave.
6. Hitting Blitzcrank Hooks
One of the top game-impacting spells in the game, sometimes it's like a grab bag, you never know quite what you pick up.
Love You: Pull the enemy Jinx into your Veigar/Diana/Graves/Garen combo.
Hate You: Pull the enemy Amumu into your Jinx.
7. Using Bard Ultimate
Alas, the most trollish skill ever introduced by Riot up until the point where Tahm Kench burst onto the scene, Bard ultimate has stopped many a kill.
Love You: Ult the enemy Darius mid-dunk for that shiny golden statue and a quick escape for your teammate.
Hate You: Ult your allied Darius mid-dunk for that shiny golden statue...actually, it still looks pretty cool.
8. Jungle Ganking
Depending on the division you play at, Jungle ganks can be extremely hit or miss, varying to a superb degree.
Love You: Successfully gank with a complimentary ward and ward clear
Hate You: Successfully transfer double buff to the enemy laner via tower dive with complimentary double kill.
9. Playing Teemo
One of the most hit or miss champions in the game, you gotta love him or hate him.
Love You: Provide insane map control, 1v5 the enemy team, and AFK push to victory.
Hate You: Die to enemy Darius 10 times in lane and watch as he taunts over your dead body.
10. Playing Proxy Singed
Again, a very hit-or-miss champion, your results may vary.
Love You: Successfully take over the game, leading around the enemy top laner, jungler, and mid-laner while your jungler and mid laner hit level 5 before the enemy mid/jungle are level 3.
Hate You: Spend the majority of the game explaining why it's okay if you die as long as your allies take "objectives" and when that fails, explain how top lane Shaco is naturally your hardest counter.
