Introduction
Earlier last week, a gamer and statistician going by the name of Sufficiency collected a set of 95,000 URF games. Some of the results were likely what you'd expect, whereas some were a bit unexpected.. Check out some of the highlights below!
For a more tier list, check out the URF Tier List via this link!
Highlights
Strong Champions:
Maokai - Looks like you guys were right on this one, Maokai does indeed perform very well on URF mode, especially this year now that you can keep his ultimate following him.Diana - Again, the Nerfplz community wins another for Diana, one of the hidden OPs that apparently does very well in URF mode!
Weak Champions:
Bard - The utility he provides, while fun to run through tunnels over and over again, apparently translates to just as much success as it does on the regular rift.Leblanc - I can't let you guys win ALL the battles, Leblanc pulls in near the very bottom of the list.
Kassadin - Somewhat of a surprise, but it seems that for Kassadin, like Bard, jumping around constantly doesn't exactly translate to wins this time around in his nerfed state.
Otherwise, the data is surprisingly even, with most champions hovering around a clean 50% for the most part. So apparently URF is balanced. Go figure.

Sorry about the formatting...I did something funky to the HTML and can't override it at the moment. Hopefully I'll figure it out eventually. Feel free to drop some ideas in the comment section if you have some web design know-how.
According to his reddit post, the data collected is as folows:
- 95,000 games collected via Riot API
- Sorted by win rate highest to lowest
- For win rates, mirror match-ups are filtered out

It's Galio time!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah if i can pick sona before someone banned her
ReplyDeletenot that surprising, although I don't think you can really call URF "balanced." I am surprised to see how mediocre Alistar is considering how obnoxious he can be in game
ReplyDeleteYeah, Diana is pretty OP. I won 14/18 of my URF games with her (~78% win rate, personally). I'm glad to see that my suspicions were confirmed =)
ReplyDeleteDespite her low popularity, glad to see Sivir with the highest win rate of the ADC's. She really is underrated in this mode.
ReplyDeleteDon't see a lot of Galio players in this mode
ReplyDeleteI even bought a Banshee's on her and still got hit by Ashe arrows LOL.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree she is really strong in URF: insane tower push, long range poke, 4 sec spellshield, ulti always up. I did nothing but push all game and won in the end with a double tp backdoor. :D

ReplyDeleteI know some web design - whats the problem with the table? It looks alright to me...
ReplyDeleteI can't apply any CSS to this table no matter where I put it, I need to dig in to figure out what's going on
ReplyDeleteThanks =]
ReplyDeleteNot many people own Galio, same thing happens with Eve.
ReplyDeletethe original reddit post also states that blue side has a winrate of 52%
ReplyDeletehmm... what advantages does it have over purple?
It's easier to watch your health/resource bars.
ReplyDelete(And even the player names - though I often toggle it off with my binding key - Alt+C)
The other reason I can think of, it's harder to gank top lane of blue side (easier to gank top purple side). But I think this reason is more for classic Rift games, not URF.
Nautilus is really underrated. His shield stays on forever; combine that with a Locket and it takes hours to kill him. I've had so many "1 vs 5"s with my 3.5 second shield and spammable hooks.
ReplyDeleteAlso escaping him is impossible - all of abilities have a form of CC (even basic attack).
4 champs I have never lost a match with in URF
ReplyDelete1. GALIO
2. SEJUANI
3. SION
4. SONA
I think it's coz many people don't play Alistar well (combo for example) and high mobility "kills" him (How to catch LB Ahri Zed Ez etc. with him ? Hard)
