In the newest rendition of the FOTM tier list, common favorites like Azir and Kassadin have dropped significantly in the popularity contest whereas newcomers like Fizz are rapidly gaining popularity.

Hi everyone and welcome to a new rendition of the FOTM Tier List! This update's coming up outside of the regular scheduled Maintenance Monday since I know I'm a bit behind on this one. This rendition features a couple mix-ups, and many popular laners have since fallen out of favor.  Check out the full listing below! Since it's early in patch 5.5, I'll update this list again in a few days.

Instructions and Caveats:

• This tier list details which champions are most popular in today's current metagame, for better or for worse. Selecting a high popularity champion and doing mediocre is always favorable to selecting a low tier champion and doing mediocre for team morale.

God Tier: These champions are common bans and are likely perceived as being "overall extremely strong/broken". They have very obvious and/or flashy skills that make them appear stronger than other champions. You'll likely see these champions picked early on if they're not banned.

Tier 1: These champions are the ones you'll see in the majority of your games and are good to familiarize yourself with as you'l be battling against them a lot.

Tier 2: These champions are relatively strong and have historically been picked more often than other champions. They may have been nerfed at one point at another, but are still perceived as strong in their current states.

Tier 3: These champions aren't quite as popular as the rest of the champions in the first 3 tiers, but picking them one at a time isn't going to cause much of a concern on your team. However, if you have a team of 5 of them your teammates are likely to feel a bit uneasy about your chances of winning in solo queue.

Tier 4: Selecting these champions will likely cause a rift between you and your teammates, who will proceed to flame you if you fail your lane. Exercise caution when selecting these champions, as team morale often plays a big part in victory or defeat.

Champion Explanations

• God Tier Supports - Supports are currently at a very "balanced" state in terms of community perception. Since we only get 6 bans, other champions get much higher priority.
• Fizz [God Tier Jungle/Top] - A newcomer to the FOTM top lane elite, Fizz is absolutely beloved on the fields of justice at the moment with his strong synergy to Blade of the Ruined King. After gaining attack speed and some tankiness, his ability to dispatch both squishies and tanks with ease makes him a valuable pick.
• Leblanc [God Tier Mid] - Back from the dead, Leblanc's insane burst damage and speedy sneak attacks make her the new replacement for Zed and Fizz (AP) in the mid lane.
• Lissandra [God Tier Top] - Largely due to professional influence and also as a a result of her bullying, intargetability, and raw damage, Lissandra has made her place in the top echelons of laners.
• Morgana [Tier 1 Support] - Although not popularly picked even when she isn't banned, her ability to counter many popular picks such as Vi makes her a high priority ban for many players.
• Nidalee [God Tier Jungle] - With her extremely powerful snowballing skills and one-shotting abilities combined with her inescabale and unchasable abilities, Nidalee is currently a nuisance on the rift and a high priority ban.
• Vladimir [Tier 1 Top] - As part of the shift towards more ranged AP mages top lane, Vladimir's recently come into the spotlight along with Kennen as possible Lissandra replacements.
