Season 4 Ranked to End November 11, 2014

Early in the afternoon yesterday, Riot announced a new date for the end of Season 4, which is either tentatively or hard set for November 11, 2014 at 12:01 AM PST. Although for the past few season, Riot has almost ALWAYS given at least a couple days extra time from what I recall, plan ahead to get your rewards in by then.

Elo Decay

As another reminder, you CAN drop tiers from Elo decay, which occurs after 28 days (4 weeks) and you lose points at the following rate every 7 days until you play a ranked match: 
  • Diamond: 50
  • Platinum: 35
  • Gold: 25 removed in patch 4.17
  • Silver: 10  removed in patch 4.17
  • Bronze: 0
This means if you intend on keeping your current tier and haven't been playing ranked, be sure to play enough to keep it!

    But didnt they remove elo decay in silver and gold in patch 4.17?

    lol. No S4 will end then. youll get your rewards and have to play provisionals for ranked and get placed into a new tier.

    im in silver 5 so if i dont play ranked will i drop to bronze 1 or will i stay in silver 5 and get the reward at the end of the season

    Hi Hamza Znagui

    For Silver and Gold players, decay no longer affects them. I want to assure you that you won't be demoted to Bronze due to inactivity. If you haven't read the 4.17 update, it was announced there that Gold and lower tiers will be immune to inactivity. However, even if you have 0 LP, you will not be demoted if you don't earn a loss that can change your LP. :)


    With that said, you should be able to get your rewards by the end of the season. :)

    what if my highest reach in s4 was diamond, and now im gold, what border will i get when screen loads? the gold one or diamond one ?
