Taric Rework
I think that the new Taric rework actually makes him stronger than before, and really wasn't much of a nerf...his jungling and top laning have improved, and while he's not the all-in at level 2 that he was before as a support, his late game is stronger.
The changes promote a more passive early game, since levels 1~2 champions like Sona and Lulu now out-damage you with the shatter changes. However, in the end he's still the same champion he was, with more initiative to build tank-items than before like Randuins and Aegis, despite their cost.
Better than ever!
Thoughts on Quinn
As for Quinn...so far I'm not a fan of what I see; she definitely either has a higher skillcap than other champions, or simply isn't that great. From what I see on her kit, it seems much better suited than top than as the ADC I see most people play her as.
Her escape is too slow and tends to put her back where she started, and as a gap closer it doesn't leave much room for variance.
Her ultimate is good 1v1, but putting an ADC in melee range simply isn't a good idea, no matter what kind of steroid she gets, unless she also becomes immune to all CC. (See Jayce)
I think it'll be a while before we see any good Quinns on the fields of justice.
Blade of the Ruined King
Personally I'm a big fan of the item, but I think it's much better as a second item. As a first item, the nerf to the damage component makes your poke very weak, which is likely what you'll be doing when you get your first item. Attack speed is much more useful when you're likely to be going all-in or doing teamfights.
What do you guys think? Comment below!
I'm...a bird?
In 3 games i saw 2 times Quinn driving a truck on enemy adc during lanning phase...
ReplyDeleteLets wait & see
Hi David, do you remember what she built? I'm just curious if people have been successful with the same normal ADC builds or they've been using something different.
ReplyDeleteout of three games ive played as Quinn my best so far (despite losing due to 2 of my team members afking) has been 27/11/3. With the item build Breserker Greaves (Furor), Statik Shiv, Bloodthirster, Infinity Edge, Mercurial Scimitar and Guardian Angel.
ReplyDeleteI see Quinn as a more flexible Vayne, positioning yourself to land your "E". As an escape however, It's not very useful unless she's against someone in melee range, since she leaps back further away, not in the same position. She's also a bit item dependant, as she need attack speed first, before getting flat attack damage, so it makes here early game weaker than some of the other adc's.
ReplyDeleteI bought Quinn and she is very funny to play. However I do agree that probably she is better top than adc. Her ulti is awesome for finishing teamfights. Nobody can get away.
ReplyDeleteDon't recall the build, but our Quinn just now was 21/7 - she qot a quadra kill at one point.
ReplyDeleteHer passive damage boost/steroid is quite heavy in the laning phase, especially if you try to trade against her. Ulti dealing damage based on the amount of HP the enemy is missing is quite hefty "finisher" for an adc, allowing her to grab kills more easily even in "random" games.
ReplyDeleteGranted people are still in learning phase playing with quinn and against her but she does seem rather powerful especially for solo Q.
The one is like a 5 win on strike:
ReplyDeleteBlades of the ruined king
Infinity Edge
Statikk
That was like the core items...
When you say that in order to improve Quinn's ultimate, it would need to make her inmune to control crowd spells and you mention Jayce, didn't you mean Olaf?
ReplyDeleteI've been trying bortk on Vayne and I like it. ^^
Yup Vayne is insane now with the new botrk.
ReplyDeleteI've been building health items like frozen mallet after getting the core items and its been really successful, allowing me to use my ultimate in nonteamfight engagements and get out with 1 or even 2 kills while still remaining above half health.
