I've been running some development playtests on the PBE recently. Something I noticed is that while a lot of the test games start out really solidly, they occasionally snowball into stompfests.Q&A:
This isn't particularly helpful for testing new features, so I am adding the /equalize command to let players on the PBE "catch up" the struggling team's gold and XP to their current values. This means if you're having a good match, but lose a couple key teamfights, you can help us out by using /equalize.
I'll let you guys know when I've worked all of the kinks out of the /equalize system and you can help us make our tests even better.Quote:
Warning:
/equalize is not enabled on the PBE right now and will surrender the game.
p.s. I've noticed a few of you guys throw around the idea of allowing it in custom games on live. That's not a bad idea... but it needs a lot more work first.
Q: Can both teams launch the equalize function?
A: Only the winning team can launch the equalize vote.
Q: When going through the /equalize vote can we take a look to the overall gold advantage before actually voting in the opposing team's favor?
A: Done.
Q: What's the maximum we can equalize?
A: The version you get next will have *no* limits on it.
Q: When will teams be able to equalize?
A: I intend to add a 10% gold requirement and at least +2 levels.

It looks like the function will only be available on the PBE for now, but some day, it might make it into custom games...
Did someone say...equalize?
What do you think about the function? Would you like to see it on the live servers? Comment below!
Since when has teams you play against be 'nice guys' and go oh here you go guys have a ton of gold and xp and hopefully you come back and maybe beat us lol. I cant really see this system working

I wont ever use it xD, if i am ahead, or holding the lead, is because i earned it, so why is the purpose of equalize?
ReplyDeleteBetter vote "Throw game? Yes/No"
If your opponents know how to play then I would shurely use it. This would boost the fun of some games by 100%. Usually I feel sad because 1 guy in my or the other team is unskilled and is holding the other players in his team back.
ReplyDeleteCouldnt agree more XD
ReplyDeleteI do get what your saying but you have the lead for a reason, because you deserve it and you out play the opposing team, we all play the game to win, so thoughs games were you smash your opponents is fun just like when your team gets smashed its a great learning curve. Besides even though some of us maybe use the system from time to time there will almost always be those trollz or just a player keen to win who will vote no towards helping their enemies out imo.
