Top Team Comps #21: CC Lock Comp

KATARINA'S worst nightmare...the CC lock comp. With enough CC to stop a an Olaf in its tracks (slight exaggeration), this team is extremely strong in engages simply because of the raw amount of CC they have. Even if your heroes are under-farmed and dealing less damage than theirs, with the appropriate CC applied the enemy shall all fall regardless.

SUGGESTED LINEUP Top: Malphite Mid: Zyra Jungle: Amumu AD Carry: Ashe Support: Leona

ADVANTAGES: - Strong AOE damage - Retarded amount of CC - Good poke - Good peel

DISADVANTAGES: - Weaker AD Carry - No sustain - AP Heavy

Some other choices top lane include Jarvan and Shen.

STRATEGY:
Even if you end up somewhat stacking your CCs, the damage your team deals will be enough to destroy almost any team you go up against. Although this team is AP heavy,  Amumu's passive will help with its MR reduction.

This team is very straight-forward to use: Malphite should ult their AD carry, and Amumu should snare as many as possible. You'll most likely want Leona on Ashe protection duty, but as long as someone's protecting her, their roles are alterable.

COUNTER-STRATEGY
This team's one of those solo queue teams that almost never fails...why? There's just too much that can go right. If it all goes right at the same time, it's very easy to turn a losing game into a winning game. In order to win, the key here is good warding on the map and SPREADING OUT. I can't emphasize how important this is.

The AD carry also needs to stay hidden as long as possible, because if they're doing it right, Malphite will be gunning for you (and he WILL get you.) If they're running Ashe, I suggest you gun HARD for her, or any other AD carry they might have. If it's someone like Ezreal though, don't commit too hard on him. He'll probably survive what you throw at him, and you'll probably get picked off by the rest of the team.

One strategy is to have your tank pretend he's alone and run in 1v5 full retard. With any luck Malphite or Amumu might ult him and you won't have to worry about it for the teamfight as you jump out from the bushes. Or he might just die like a full retard...Good luck!
