Top Team Comps #10: The Shield Comp

SHIELD - The Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate. No wait, wrong topic. Shields! The little white bars that keep you alive despite the best efforts of the enemy to kill you! They're sneaky, almost as good as a heal, and in Janna's case, add some amazing side effects to it as well. How about we make a team chock full of them?

SUGGESTED LINEUP

Top: Riven

Mid: Orianna

Jungle: Lee Sin

Support: Janna

AD Carry: Sivir 

STRENGTHS:

This team is extremely powerful in lane and offers a ton of mobility. Each of these heroes is great 1v1, and also has a decent (if small) AOE that can be utilized in tight spaces to great effect.

Although their AOE is small, with a good Orianna ult, this team still has the potential to wipe out an enemy team no matter how far behind they are. With their early-mid game strength power however, it's unlikely they'll fall behind at all.

WEAKNESSES:

The major weakness of this team is that it relies on Lee Sin to be their main initiation, unless Orianna can get a nice ult off without the enemy team jumping on her. This means that early game is especially important.

The range of this team is also relatively small, and thus you can't get into long poke fights. Instead, you'll want to split push to force engages with small skirmishes to make full use of your shields and mobility.

Another somewhat big weakness of this team is that each of these heroes requires a pretty high skill cap to play, and thus this might be sort of a barrier for this of you newer to the game. Get it? Barrier? Shield comp? HUE HUE HUE

CONCLUSIONS:

This team is great if you want to work on your laning skills, give everyone a chance to be the hero of the game, and of course, to make some SICK plays with these champions. When you've got Lee and Orianna on a team, you can be sure you'll have at least one YouTube worthy play!
