It's a copyright act that makes it so that owners of websites are directly responsible for any and all copyright infringing material any user posts on the site.
- This means that any site with user-generated content is at a huge risk of getting shut down and/or sued just for allowing people to post music or videos on the site. (Including on a stream)
- This includes Google (and Youtube), Amazon, Facebook and Twitter
While this is a grave concern, I personally think that the massive corporations listed before will probably be enough to stop the bill from passing. However, every little bit of effort from each individual does count.
