I know what I'M getting!
A question I see a lot on the forums is, "Which one is better, Banshee's Veil or Quicksilver Sash?" They each clearly have their pros and their cons, so let's go over both of them.
Price: 2715g
Base Items: Catalyst, Negatron Cloak
Description: 375 Health, 50 Magic Resistance, 375 Mana. UNIQUE Passive: Blocks one negative spell every 45 seconds.
Quicksilver Sash
Price: 1440g
Base Items: Negatron Cloak
Description: 56 Magic Resistance. UNIQUE Active: Removes all debuffs from your champion. 90 second cooldown.
As you can see from the above, both items give around 50 magic resist. The price on Quicksilver Sash is almost half that of Banshee's, but Banshee's also gives an extra 375 health and mana.
The biggest differences here are of course in the cooldown of the two items and the unique effects.

- Champions like Nunu need Banshee's Veil since QSS will do nothing to save his ultimate
- If a suppressor like Warwick wants to ult you, he can swipe your BV and ult you anyway
- Quicksilver Sash will only activate if you remember to use it.
From this, I conclude that Banshee's Veil is better on heroes who will be taking more hits, such as tanks and/or bruisers. Even if they get their bubble removed, they can still use the BV's defensive stats to mitigate damage. Even if the opponent uses a CC on you anyway, it's one less CC that can be used on your squishies.
Meanwhile, for AD carries and AP carries, Quicksilver Sash should be the item of choice since you'll be able to time exactly when you want to be freed of CCs to throw all your damage upon the enemy. Having a Banshee's Veil means that it might get removed by something silly like a Caitlyn or Graves AOE, leaving your carry vulnerable when the time comes to actually fight.
