Always kill, never die...Click for a wallpaper!
So you've seen the "Morde es #1, always kill never die" quotes all over the forums, and always linking Brazilians to Mordekaiser. However, where did it all stem from? First of all, "es" is not Portuguese, and is in fact Spanish. So chances are, you've NEVER seen a Brazilian say this quote. However, one guy made a troll tier list available here that started this whole fiasco. Version 2.0 of the Tier List.
So do Brazilians actually like Mordekaiser? In fact, many of them still do. It might be because the word "Morde" is the verb for bite or to eat in Portuguese, and "Morde" means death. Since Kaiser is the German word for emperor, naturally it means something along the lines of "The Eater King" or "The Death King"
Wouldn't you want to play a hero with a name like that in your native language? At least this is what I've gotten out of it. If any Brazilian/Portuguese people have a different reason for loving this big hunk of metal, feel free to post in the comment section down below.

ReplyDeleteROFL that troll tier list is epic, gonna +1 this post just because it linked to there :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I appreciate it! :D
ReplyDeleteI'm Brazilian and... Morde es #1.
ReplyDeleteActually, "ele morde" is like "he bites" in english, and "kaiser" is a brazilian beer brand.
ReplyDeleteSo, "mordekaiser" is (literally translating) "he bites a bottle of kaiser", haha.
Thanks for the clarification Michel! :)

ReplyDeleteI'm a brazilian and Mordekaiser barely shows up in games, brazilians don't know how to play with him... Actually they would rather play with Darius than any other champion, and this sucks! If I could change the past, I would write in that topic "Darius es #1", even if Darius in that time didn't exist, of course.
ReplyDeleteBRAZILIAN PEOPLE SAY: "É" AND NOT "ES"
ReplyDeleteReal reason.. its cause first time Brasil must play in NA, with over 200 ping, and mordekaise is one of the best champion to farm with high ping u just keep using your skill, to get your shield on all the time and farm, u no need last hiting....
ReplyDelete"Morte" means death in Brazil, morder (the verb) means bites...
ReplyDeletehu3hu3hu3hu3brbrbrbbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbrbbrbrbr i report you
ReplyDeleteBecause most Brazilians can't afford good mice, so they like when Morde agrees with them. "You only need to click once... fool."
ReplyDelete''morde'' doesn't means ''death''. ''death'' is ''morte''
ReplyDeleteCool thing is that Brazilians don't speak Spanish. Smart asses.
